ON THE BEACH AT THE RITZ
The solar disc was no longer a well-defined sphere, but a wide expanding ellipse that fanned out across the eastern horizon like a colossal fire-ball, its reflection turning the dead surface of the lagoon into a brilliant copper shield. By noon , less than four hours away, the water would seem to burn.
JG Ballard, The Drowned World.
A provisional research ecology: material absorbed in its own thoughts. A gathering place for things being made, read, sensed and thought. Images, texts, bodies, spaces and matter(s) move through correspondence, forming tentative rooms of inquiry. Research circulates between depth and surfacing, archive and anarchive, allowing propositions to return, migrate and become otherwise.
